Bali Ocean Week 2025: Surf, Soul, and Community by the Sea at La Brisa

From heavy rain to glowing sunsets, Bali Ocean Week 2025 unfolded in true La Brisa Bali fashion: soulful, conscious, and deeply rooted in the ocean’s rhythm. Held on June 7 and 8 along the coastline of Echo Beach and Pererenan, this two-day celebration brought together surfers, changemakers, families, and eco-conscious travelers for a weekend of action, community, and unforgettable energy.

On Saturday morning, the skies opened with heavy rain, and for a moment, it looked like the event might be delayed. But just before the first beach clean-up was set to begin, the rain stopped almost on cue. In front of La Brisa, volunteers gathered barefoot to clean Echo Beach, working in unity to protect the very shoreline they love. The moment set the tone for what was to come: purpose-driven joy.

Throughout the day, the Surf Open Invitational at Pererenan Beach lit up with elite talent. Supported by Quiksilver, Rip Curl, and Billabong, the competition brought together Bali’s top surfers under the watchful eye of legends Raditya Rondi and Wayan Pica. Congratulations to Dhiya Izdihaar, our Surf Open Champion, and Putu Aditya Putra Somiya, winner of the Air Show.

Back at La Brisa Bali, the night gave way to rhythm. The beachfront turned into a groove-heavy celebration with Basement Love x PNNY, headlined by Thalo Santana and DAWS. With vinyl spinning and ocean air flowing, the vibe was pure magic.

Sunday’s energy was all heart. Partnering with Green School Bali, La Brisa Bali hosted the WOAH Family Surf Competition, where kids and parents took to the waves in joyful tandem. The LYD Market & Community Zone filled the space with color and creativity, offering handmade goods, local eats, and sustainable treasures by the sea.

More than just a weekend of surf and sound, Bali Ocean Week 2025 supported Ombak4Hope, a local initiative that empowers underprivileged youth through surfing, mentorship, and education.

La Brisa Bali was proud to host this soulful gathering. Until next time, we’ll be right here, where the waves meet the community.
